General information
We are Nova Racing Team, the Formula Student team of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). Every year, we design, build, and compete with a single-seater race car created entirely by students passionate about engineering and innovation.
This season, we aim to take part in several international competitions, enhance the performance of our combustion engine, and take the first step toward developing an electric car that will shape the future of our team.

Main features and goals of the crowdfunding campaign
Nuestro principal objetivo es diseñar, fabricar y optimizar un monoplaza de competición tipo Formula Student, aplicando los conocimientos adquiridos en clase a un entorno real.
Nos diferencia el trabajo interdisciplinar entre distintas áreas: mecánica, eléctrica, aerodinámica y gestión. Así como el compromiso con la sostenibilidad y la evolución.
Why this is important
Our main motivation is a passion for engineering and hands-on learning. At Nova Racing Team, we believe that the best way to grow as future professionals is by facing real challenges where every decision matters and teamwork makes the difference.
This project is aimed at everyone who shares our values: innovation, technical education, and sustainability. We want to inspire other students, educators, and motorsport enthusiasts to support initiatives that promote young talent and the practical application of engineering in tangible projects.
With your help, we can continue fostering the education of new engineers and build the future of motorsport from the classrooms of UPC Vilanova i la Geltrú.
All funds raised will go directly toward covering the project’s most essential needs for this season.
Part of the funds will be used to improve the performance and reliability of our current single-seater’s combustion engine, allowing us to achieve better results in competitions.
Another portion will help finance travel, registration, and logistics needed to participate in international Formula Student events.
In addition, a part of the budget will be invested in the initial design and development of the team’s first electric or hybrid car, a commitment to sustainability and technological innovation.
Every contribution, big or small, brings us one step closer to achieving our goals and to keep learning, building, and competing.
Nova Racing Team was founded in 2023 with a single goal: to create a team capable of competing at the highest level in Formula Student. Since then, we have made tremendous progress thanks to the effort, passion, and dedication of every one of our members.
In our first season, we achieved an impressive fourth place at Formula Student Portugal, coming very close to the podium. In 2024, we took another step forward, securing eighth place at Formula Student Italy and an excellent fourth place in the Cost Event, marking our best international result so far.
Over the past year, we have worked intensively on improving the car’s handling and optimizing the engine performance, resulting in a more balanced, competitive, and reliable vehicle. At the same time, we have strengthened the training of new members, ensuring the team’s continuity and long-term growth.
Today, we continue improving in every aspect: technical, organizational, and personal. With our sights set on the Formula Student 2026 season, where we aim to showcase our full potential.
